Anne M. King (Annie) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Social Worker with the State of Ohio practicing in Chillicothe. She specializes in adolescent, individual and couples counseling. Annie has experience working with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety. She has completed Level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Methods Couples Therapy and she uses Gottman Therapy in her couple’s work. Annie understands the challenges facing individuals and couples today and recognizes the need to connect with a nonjudgmental, unbiased professional. She provides a warm and caring, therapeutic environment where clients can move forward toward wholeness.
Annie has over 30 years’ experience as a pastor’s wife. She understands the struggles and the joys of a life of faith.
Annie earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Morehead State University. Her Social Work degree has given her the opportunity to work with many diverse populations. After taking some time off to raise her four children Annie went p received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2007.
Annie is a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, the American Counseling Association and the Ohio Counseling Association. She enjoys learning and improving her skills.
Annie is married to Pastor Kurt King and together they have 4 pretty cool adult children making their way in the world. Her faith has always provided a mooring for the storms all of us experience in this world. She enjoys cooking, reading and walking and hiking with her husband.
